Finally got around to shooting my Ruger Service Six

1980's police service six I traded for. Chambered in 38 special only. Group is 5 shots at 15 yards. I was aiming for the bullseye. I think this gun potential. I'm blaming the vertical stringing on the grips not being the best for my large hands.

I have a security six .357. My factory grips were just like the ones on yours. They didnt stay on long, I got some rubber grips ( pachmeyer, may be wrong spelling) and its a lot better.

The Six series revolvers were the best Ruger ever made.The same size as the Smith K frames but 10 times as durable.Wish they still made them because the GP/SPs they make now are as fugly as a Main St. hooker.
