The House reps know they have to face the voters every two years, and I believe they hear their constituents a little better than the defiant Senators. It's time for a primary challenge for Lamar, and a message to our Congress representatives across the country that they work for "We the people", and they had better start listening to our loud grumblings. We can determine Term Limits for these idiots.

Lamar needs to remember this is Dixie. Maybe he needs to go to NY or someplace like that. He gives southerners a bad name.

True but all but a handful believe we need "comprehensive reform"...neither party and neither chamber are willing to do the two things that actually need to be done (were already supposed to have been done years ago). Since they aren't willing to do so that tells me we'll get the senate bill; just a little watered down.

Corker caught a lot of flak on an interview on
99.7 WTN, this morning. One thing that really
got me was his discounting folks like the
Heritage Foundation, while bragging about
the Shumers in the senate, who I am really
thinking he is like. He came off as one pile
of condescension. No one appeared to be
on his side at all.

Why am I not surprised that his lordship sounded condescending?  ;)

I turned Ralph off this morning...there is nothing that the pile of :poop:   Corker or his equally worthless buddy Lamar has to say that is worth my time listening to. I'm just really looking forward to contributing to and then voting for someone running against them; regardless of what party that ends up being.

Were they pro or con?

Amnesty is not a done deal unless we let it. We need to play a good game of cowboys an illegals.

They were against amnesty but said the leadership had already assured that the house would pass a bill then the final s__t would come out of committee. The illegal problem would be solved forever because there would be no more illegals. Step across the border and you're legal. Poof, no more illegals.

The repubs need to be voted out. Even if bohner is just voted out it would be fine. They need to know they cant pull this crap and expect us to vote for them.

A guy from Lubbock, TX called in to a talk show last week.  He said the area has thousands of illegals scraping for every job they can get.  Two things about this legislation concern the wetbacks the most:

(1)  There's an army of Mexicans just south of the Texas border just waiting for this bill to become law.  Instead of 300-400 crossing the border per day, they're worried that 3,000-4,000 will make the trip and flood the labor market, forcing their wages to plummet.

(2)  They don't want legal status.  If they get on the federal rolls, they'll have to pay taxes like other working schlubs.

It's not the illegals pushing this bill.  It's whoever will profit the most.

Exactly. White liberals who want the votes are. Look at what they did with the blacks after the civil rights bill. its almost modern slavery, but instead of cotton the master wants votes. Since blacks are not expected to contribute more than 10-15% of the population the liberals have found another group to pander to.

According to the informal poll, it was 100% - 0% against Corker.
