As soon as this game comes out I will be playing the ever loving crap out of it.  I will be in need of a group to play it with.

Setup and the hook!

It looks amazing, however, we all know that there won't be that level of voice comm discipline (see second video). "Brace for pvp", yeah right....... It'll be more like "OMG, Here come the f-gs! F---in kill em!

edit ***I have no idea why I can't embedded a video anymore :/

It's supposed to be players on voice comms. The guy in the drone is also playing on a tablet.

The idea behind the game is sound but with it being open world, I have to wonder if you'll just spend most of your time fighting other players. As long as its done right it will be enjoyable, but if its pure open pvp then you're talking a giant sandbox free for all. Day Z did this and it was just random bouts of player killing.

I tried the war z and it was impossible to enjoy without a group of people due to the pvp.  I certainly hope they balance it better.

I already have my PS4 pre-ordered. This will be bought the same day, assuming it's released by then.

It doesnt have a date yet,  Supposed to be sometime in 2014.  Probably wont be a release game.  Till then youll be stuck with release games.  At least one of them is Battlefield 4.  It looks pretty good actually.

I won't be ordering any consoles or the games until I know they are solid. I did competitive gaming for years but these days I'm just as happy playing that same $60 title a few months later for $15.

I got burned on diablo 3, I got burned on bf3 and with 2 kids... I don't like wasting $60 on a title... much less a new console for a single title. I'm optimistic but realistic :)

I enjoyed bf3 but I primarely play RPGs and action adventure.  There are SEVERAL titles for the PS4 that I want so it definatly wont be a single game i buy the system for.  Also I heard more about what is going on with the WarZ.  The company making it did a bunch of fcked up stuff screwing over anybody who tried to play it.  Stay away from them.

WarZ was a money grabbing knock off of DayZ which is about as wild of a game as you can get.

There is no comparison of the two, DayZ has a map that is larger then most all of the BF3 maps put together. You can run for a solid hour to hit from one side to the other. It has true weather fronts and conditions. You can even navigate by the stars at night.

It's what a true survival and a zombie situation would be, zombies are a issue and people are a bigger issue. I've had people shoot me on sight to take my gear or friend up with me just to shoot me in the back. And I've had people leech off my supplies or get me killed because they couldn't sneak into places properly. And I've had some to help me out for no reason but to be nice.

You learn quick to avoid towns unless needed and to plan your attacks quietly and swiftly while stating out of sight. Gun shots are like food bells to the zombies so quiet attacks with my favorite the hatchet is best.

That makes it sound way more interesting that I found it. I spawned on the beach, got a hatchet and was shot by sniper. then I spawned on the beach again, made a friend but then we were killed by a pack of beach campers. It would have taken an hour to meet up with my new friend so I ran inland instead to get away from the beach. Skipped 4-5 settlements in case there were humans around. Finally snuck into a house and got a gun. Stepped outside and sniped again. Yeah.. I'm done here.
