Good luck with ammo this week!

I picked up 100 rounds of Winchester .40 at Walmart on Thursday evening.  Clerk said that it had sat in the case since the previous evening.  They also had Federal 9mm SD loads, about 3 boxes of them, which I had seen in stock a couple of weeks ago as well.  A friend came across a bulk pack of 9s and 40s at his Walmart yesterday.  Then this morning I got an email from Cabela's informing me that the 1000 rounds of .22 that I ordered about 2 months ago was in stock and had already been shipped.  Looks like things are finally coming around.  The .40 that I bought the other day was the first ammo I had purchased since December as I have refused to pay more than retail.

Bought a couple of boxes of 9mm at Wally World last saturday, didn't really need any, just couldn't resist. They had a few boxes of 9 and 40 in fmj and jhp. 9mm fmj box of 50 for $10.47 plus tax.

Hey 10 ring, I was standing in a Walmart here and a guy bought a box of .40 and the clerk told him the same thing. And it was the last box in the case. On the same day you bought yours. There was a girl standing there talking about an xd she owns and I had him take out a box of 12 gauge at the same time. You? Just curious.

Nope wasn't me.

On another note a friend scored 500 rounds of 9mm from the Tazewell Walmart the other day.

I haven't mentioned it here, thought the locals would buy it up, but Walmart Madisonville has had 40 and 45 for several days, I believe they had the 40 in 100 round value packs.

While not Wal-mart related, AIM Surplus has Russian 7.62x54R spam cans back in stock at pre-craziness pricing ($89/can). A week later, they're still in stock, too.

prices are coming down.  ammo is not flying out the door.  gun control has not been in the news for some time.  lots of people are stuck with ammo that they bought at a high price for resale at gun shows for higher prices.  same thing is going on with ar's.

Dickson WM had nothing (worthwhile). I've managed to get up to minimum requirements for most of what I want and have plenty for my main carry but looking for more whenever I can get it. They've started putting other items in the ammo display case it's so bad.

Wish I'd picked up all three boxes of 22 when I saw them a while back instead of leaving the other 2 for others. I thought we were about to turn the corner on the ammo situation.
