I would do exactly what the guy taking the video did.  Keep quiet and let the bear sniff around, maybe even pet it and make friends..  If bear tried to get in the stand kick it in the nose and knock it out of the tree.  Then wait a while.

I have zero real world experience around bears, so I was surprised a bear would go through all that trouble without at least taking a swipe or bite at the hunter. I would have been scared to death.

Reminds me of a guy I hunted with years ago. He had a cub and momma climb up his tree. One was at the foot of the his climber just looking at him and sniffing. He kept his 7mm pointed at its head till it went on its way. He told me it was the only time in his life he could remember pissing on himself and he though the smell is what ran the bears off.
