During the FIRST civil war most of your firearms were manufactured up north. They probably wont have that problem next time around.

Texas is talking to gun mfgs in NY and CT about the better political and financial climate they offer. I wish a conservative in TN with that kind of attitude and foresight would run for Governor.

We need a leader that will go to the legislature and tweak laws to make us a better choice. Then they should talk to the Colleges and Universities and make a list of whose graduates best fit which industries. Next, talk to leaders in communities of all sizes around the State to find out who offers what infrastructure. Finally, put together a delegation that'll travel around the country selling TN as a place to relocate to. Send them to places like NY, MI and CA where taxes and regulations are high. If they did this, I believe in a few short years they could lower the sales tax and still have higher revenue. :2cents:

Except getting companies here by giving them tax breaks from hell and then sticking the residents with the bill won't work. Prime example Dell.  Then you have other companies like Amazon that have set up shop here but are like slave drivers to the employees. So you need to have a balance when getting companies to come here. if you give them a break and they hire 150 people and then right after the break expires they chuck everyone, then it's not beneficial to everyone..
