America’s Death Zones: Where NOT To Be When It Hits the Fan...

The following map of the United States takes into account all of the gun related deaths since the Sandy Hook school shooting. You’ll likely notice that there is one common denominator. The majority of the violence has occurred in major metropolitan areas, with some incidents spreading into outlying ex-urban and rural areas. As of this writing2,244 people have been killed since December of 2012.

Duh everybody knows you really don't want to be behind that fan, it get's nasty back there. But I don't want to be anywhere that's called a blue state.

If it goes sideways, just about anyone east of the Mississippi without a well concealed, stocked, and defensible position (an accesible large boat on the coast would count) is pretty much screwed.

Excellent example of using a graphic to misrepresent the actual statistics. 5 gun deaths covet an area the size of a full Metro area, this making it look like this is an epidemic.

Perhaps the huffpo might graph other deaths in a similar manner - ie car deaths, etc

Not a single death in El Paso? I find that hard to believe.

It's Huffpo. Whatever point they're trying to make, they're not gonna get bogged down in facts.

Well at least they got most of it right, most of the areas affected have stupidity gun control, California, Chicago, DC, MAryland, Jersey, NY, Mass..

Well here in TN, if shit does actually hit the fan, don't think anyone will get pass the Appalachian Mountains and the liberals that are here will probably coming running for those of us that are prepared to protect them and help them out..

I wonder how long it would take to build a decent fish pen that is deep enough and tall enough to stock some bull sharks, just saying..

Yep.  None in Laredo or any of the border towns west of Brownsville/McAllen.  SHTF will be the best thing that's happens to them.

Most shootings here are  gang on gang or black on black.  when it  hits the fan they will be looking for food and blood

.  We should maybe get like minded solks  near eachother to  plan.... I'm in Nashville..... Just saying

Even assuming the map is accurate, it argues against the effectiveness of gun control, because states with most stringent gun control are lit up as bright if not brighter than states with less stringent gun control.

I think some of this map is wrong look at Memphis no gun deaths , come on really !!!

I'd say that one 'place' most folks don't want to be when SHTF is trying to come through the front door of most members of TGO uninvited and with bad intent.
