Lube for .358 WCs

Recommended Posts

I bought some .358 dia. 148 gr. unlubed lead back in my less experienced days(30 years ago). Any suggestions on lubing these now?  Looks to be about 250 in box.

Should probably sell them since it's unlikely I'll need them in my lifetime.

Some 148 HBWC have a dry lube and since they mostly are shot at mid-range velocities they shouldn't need much of a lube

what brand are they ?

Ya may want to try some Lee's tumble lube; but be careful, a little goes a long way.  I also like Lng's post above.  It may be the best solution.  Ya may want to get out your aerosol dry spray lube and spray a few.  I would try his way first with a few and test 'em.  If it works, its the way to go.

Hope this helps.

Thanks. I was reading that Powder Coating thread. Interesting, but I wouldn't want to do it all the time since I don't cast my own. I bought these some 30 years ago from a fellow in Harrodsburg KY. Precision Cast Bullets is what's on the label. 146 gr. WC to be precise. I may run some thru a cheap Taurus snub just to see bore results. I know I bought 44s and 45s from the guy and they were lubed and the 265 gr 44s had a gas check.
