Go-Tube Waterproof Keychain Tube

I found these on a site called "Oscar Delta". They are nifty little devices. They ship from the UK, but I ended up paying $2.34 USD to buy one and have it shipped over here. I purchased it on 6/4/2013, and it got here today, so 9 days from the UK doesn't seem bad to me.

 

The caps aren't "loose", but they don't resist being pulled off very well. I think some silicone, epoxy, or glue on one end to "seal it" would be good, and then maybe some electrical tape or one of those wide rubber bands on the other end to keep it fastened a bit better would be good.

 

I bought my to carry two extra CR123's, and it seems it will fit that purpose fine. Honestly, it's just a peice of PVC pipe and two end fittings from somewhere, but for $2.34 shipped you cannot really go wrong.

They sell a lot of neat stuff on their site, and they sell a "version" of the Go-Tube that is just two end caps, instead of one of the ends being for a keychain. It is called "Deep-Concealment", and I am not sure how much I wish to think about that.

Just ended up using my SAK to cut off 1" or so. Now it is just tall enough for the two CR123's to fit. Great price, great device!

I think they also have those on countycomm.  Could be useful for some things.

I (and probably others on here) have meds I have to take in the morning and meds (some the same, some different) I have to take at bedtime.  If these things block all moisture from getting in, I can see getting about six of these, marking them "AM" and "PM" and then putting one dose each of the corresponding meds in each tube and keeping them in my get home kit.  Might be a good, compact, waterproof way to have three days worth of meds on hand and separated into doses.  Sure, there are other ways of doing that but the waterproof and compact nature of these things make them appealing.
