Soooo, heading to the beach but i am torn on what to pack. Do i take the lcp for easier and more conceled carry or do i take my .40? Tired of spending $80 everytime the family goes out to dinner so we will eat more at the condo or will take out. I am leaning towards the .40 because i want 16 rounds instead of 6 but i could take the 6 rounds with me most anywhere i go, might have to leave the 16 in the car.

Crap, what to do....... Might take both :)

Im imagining a sign that says "No .40 cals allowed." Lol

The only places I can honestly imagine not being able to carry a .40 are places you can't carry anyway like goin swimmin. Well... I guess you could! Lol

The way I see it, if youre comfortable carrying what you have why use something smaller and with less rounds. Which would you prefer if you had to use deadly force to protect yourself and your loved ones?

Obvious answer i would think would be take both and carry whichever the situation will allow or both.

That's what I do.  Typically carry the little one and have the big one for things that go bump in the night.

I just got back from a road trip and carried my LCP in my pocket holster and had my G17 in a backpack nearby (in the truck or hotel room). This is mainly because my regular carry Officer 1911 is in for warranty work and I am not setup to carry anything else but I felt ok with this interim solution. I bought some high performance defense rounds to up the capability of the LCP as much as I could.
