Concern with a handgun

I was shooting my Taurus pt940 yesterday. I have shot it plenty before, but on about the 18th round, the casing ejected directly into my forehead. I thought I was shot at first (obviously wouldnt have known it if it were in my forehead) lol, but Is that cause for concern or safety? It has never done it, and I quit shooting it after that. It has always thrown brass directly to the right in a consistant pattern.

It's trying to emulate the new Glock. ;)

No danger assuming you use eye wear (unless the hot casing sticks somewhere under your glasses or clothes).

If it does it often, might need new extractor or ejector or recoil spring or something, but you won't know if you don't shoot it.

Make sure extractor doesn't have build up of crud and that ejector spring seems to be working. You can field strip it to slide, and see if a round fits under extractor well and it seems to hold it firmly.
