While I don't think that she is a braniac by any means she knows how to play the general public/media like a harp...and they love it otherwise she would have burnt out long ago.

I really hate to admit it, but you are right. McCain ought to spin it and take it (and her) and run. It might bring the youngsters who really don't know what the're doing over to our side.

If, the big IF, she weren't a Hilton, a member of one of America's richest families, 99.9% of us would never have heard of Paris Hilton. All that money and a willingness to party hearty (and be photographed in and out of her clothes) gave her a reputation.. and brought the tabloid photographers by the dozens.

However, at the same time I_Like_Pie is correct.. Paris has played the whole thing and made herself a brand-name.

I think she is a lot smarter than she appears to be. She is a marketing genius. She was born with a silver spoon stuck in her, well umm, anyway you've seen the video, but she has taken that and made a nice chunk of change on her own.

I don't usually like the pop tartlets, or celebutards but for whatever reason I think Paris is great.

She was set for life from the moment of birth and has just been having fun and doing what she wants, sometimes it's crazy stuff but people like watcing her do it so she makes even more money.

I have to agree with WB she is a Heck of a lot smarter than she acts and can get attention when she wants to.

All in all though I think she is as good a chioce for president as the other two. That's not saying much but....

While I didn't watch her show (reality tv never did anything for me), I have heard this about her. Supposedly she realized that the goofy dumb blonde bit was quite a moneymaker. Not to the same degree as Gracy Allen, but the same idea.
