What's that saying again?  An armed society is a polite society?  I doubt the robber would have been so polite had she not had any means of defending herself.

 

 

The stunned intruder apologized to Cooper after she fired, she recalled, telling her, "I'm sorry, ma'am. I'm leaving. Please don't shoot."
