Maybe we have so many simultaneous scandals that it has become impossible for the public to focus on them, or for congress to competently investigate all of them?

If you simultaneously release a dozen caged coons in front of a good coon dog-- The coons scatter in a dozen directions-- Could the hound pick one coon, chase it down and tree it? Or would the fella run around in circles trying to decide which coon to chase, and lose them all?

That was Obama, or his handler's plan from the beginning, with the IRS thing, thinking it would do just what it

did. The only problem with the one they picked is that it really pissed off a bunch of both on both sides, and the

NSA is really doing the same.

I heard one person, calling in to Rush, say that the one thing Congress should do, regardless of outcome, is it's

duty, which is the impeachment process. The Congress has an obligation to do that, not just to be categorised

as partisan, but as part of the constitutional duty required of Congress. I agree with that caller. Rush went to the

political bent on it and kind of shut the man up. It was one more disappointment, yesterday.

I had to retire last night to a good book to cool down. We were so much better off having the Cold War, instead

of this stuff. Reagan was right, only ending with the wrong result. The Clinton scandals were completely misunderstood,

and still are, and this poser of a president, still blaming everything on the previous president, along with the killings,

just like Clinton had, is getting away with too much criminality to criticize Bush any more.

Our country has been relinquished by a coup from the left, and it has succeeded.

I really miss my coon hound, Lester. She would look back and check on the folks before she went baying. Best

dog I have known. :D

You're obviously a racist.

I'm just messing with you.  You raise a good question.

Impeach the Ohole currently occupying the WH and watch the welfare cities burn.  Just the process of impeachment would be a political non-starter to those in power.

impeach.  that is hysterical.

no one in congress is gonna start that.

Obama could shoot someone in the head on national TV and nothing would come of it. I am being serious in that serious about that too.

I think very few people were turned from Obama on this. People don't care. The only thing these scandals did was prove some folks right who had been saying this all along.

Practically speaking, I agree with you, Mike, but constitutionally speaking, it is their duty. Big difference between

the duty and what is percieved as practical. That's where we have gone wrong in this country: ambivalence and

rationalizing it away. There are many things that the duty was forgotten in the job description.

you are spot on Mark.

Congress only cares about what they have to say in order to get re-elected.

I forgot the thread where someone sent a complaint to Congress or their rep, but since it is kinda on topic, here

ya go!

Honorable Mr. Boehner,
You may know certain things I don't, but it is unacceptable to go on television and call an American citizen a
traitor. The way I understand it, your job is to lead the House of Representatives in its daily business, not
concern yourself with the judicial process. Until Mr. Snowden is found guilty of treason, I, and many others
in our country would appreciate your refraining from this kind of rhetoric. Statements, like the one you made,

are nothing but inflammatory and based on unsound reasoning and riddled with bad politics.

Another thing which is troubling to me is the way the wind blows and how the process always seem to
be appeasement of the Democrats. Conservatives are supposed to espouse conservative values and
principles. Maybe I am not one of your voting constituents, but you "speak" for the country, and I would
much rather you "speak" conservative values, instead of engaging in that appeasement, such as the next
round of immigration reform. What happened to all the laws on the Federal Register concerning this issue?
Do we have to enact new laws every time someone feels hurt, or disenfranchised? Reason and logic will
either prevail, or Congress and this administration will destroy this country. Or, is this "your" government?
What happened to "We, the people?"

Whether you like it or not, you are my servant, not the other way around. I am a peaceful American
citizen, but that also means you must show respect for my freedom and my ability to retain my rights
afforded under the Constitution. I have always respected yours.
I am very concerned for our country, as I expect you do, but, instead of appeasement politics, how about
going back to time tested libertarian and conservative principles? They have worked every time they are
used. That is exactly how this country was founded and we need the kind of leadership that won't get in
front of some podium and shed tears. You have the House of Representatives. don't throw away the chance

for the Senate to be captured by the Republicans by appeasement politics. It will not work.

Respectfully,

Mark Berwind

Yeh, I left my name on here, just the same, because I am tired of remotely considering the possibility of something

like Prism checking me out. Speech is speech. If someone is scared of identifying themselves, that is one thing,

but until you stand up and be counted, you are going to only be a fly stuck on a pile of it, because you won't be

heard. And all those polls are essentially meaningless because there are no names and faces who will stand up,

either, except for sycophants and stool pigeons who are beholden to a master.

I'd rather put my name where it counts, not on some phony presidential petition that is only a marketing tool.

Boehner is only the start for me.

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Accused terrorist mastermind Osama bin Laden said "the battle has moved to inside America" in the only television interview he's granted since the September 11 attacks -- now airing for the first time.

...

"I tell you, freedom and human rights in America are doomed," bin Laden said as the U.S. war on terrorism raged in Afghanistan. "The U.S. government will lead the American people in -- and the West in general -- into an unbearable hell and a choking life."

Mark be sure to post up the canned unrelated response Boehners office sends you.  Can't wait see what  one of his hacks has written up.

That's probably what it might be, if it is even read.

I think apathy has sunk in on so many people, that they are not even keeping up with these scandals, or are just relegated to the fact that it's doesn't do any good to be concerned anymore. Very little conversation around here anymore.

I quit writing the tools on the hill, but mebbe it is worth starting up again. Do you think the following would be excessively disrespectful of our fearless leaders?

Dear Senator Corker

Most Tennesseeans long ago gave you up as a useless out of touch RINO.

However, you could begin to redeem yourself by voting NO to any form of immigration legislation. Also vote NO to any gun control legislation which might be resurrected.

As a matter of fact, the best way to rehabilitate your image would be to vote NO to the majority of new initiatives-- With the exception of rare legislation which might repeal current laws. We have too many laws. Gridlock is the best state which is currently achievable.

Someone I work with gets more frustrated with the fact that Fox News keeps covering Benghazi "so much". This same person thought it was simply a bomb that went off, nothing more. This shows how much he knew about it in the first place even though they are covering it "so much". But I think the point I am trying to make is it seems some people (fearfully too many people) get more frustrated with the fact that these scandals are being reported rather than the fact that they are happening. I think it falls between apathy and ignorance for a very large amount of people. It is so frustrating to me because I feel everyone should take the responsibility of becoming educated regarding our country and becoming involved in the process that our country is ran.

You all know this.

It works for me, Lester, except that I'd write "RHINO tool" at the end.

It's going to be tough for an aide to pull out one of their canned responses for that one -- someone might actually have to write one in real time, if his office responds at all.

I like it Lester and would deffinatley send it. I also agree with OS. This really begs to be read and responded to without a form letter.

He really already has. He has stated that he can give orders to kill anyone he wants too, and has done so.

Something unexpected-- Bill Ayers, Obama's ghostwriter, says Obama should be tried for war crimes. Though to be fair, he thinks that all the recent presidents should be tried for war crimes. OTOH, maybe it wouldn't take a lot of convincing to get me to agree with that sentiment as well. :) Whatever else might be wrong with Ayers, maybe he ain't a hypocrite?
