Swede's are cool.

A really good friend passed on to me and really clean little swede that needed a little TLC.  It was missing a few pieces and was wearing a plastic stock, but it has a PERFECT bore.

Any collectors value was gone when it was drilled and tapped.  The sights were gone too, so I topped it off with a Steel Weaver K4, turned down the bolt handle and modified an original Swede stock by cutting off about a foot and making a tip out of purpleheart.  I suck at woodwork but I'm happy.

This sucker will shoot too!  Factory RP ammo will put ten rounds inside inch at 50 yards.  My first attempts at a cast boolit load got me about two inches or so.  Time and tinkering and this little guy will be under an inch, for sure.

As I said, any collectors value may have been lost when it was drilled and the sights removed but considering where it came from, this little Swede just became a treasured heirloom to me.  I actually tossed a rifle out of the safe and into the closet so this one could get a proper place to reside.

Looks like you did a fine job with your wood work to me. That's a sweet little swede!

Scope looks really high, but its not. It's very comfortable.
If you never shot a 6,5mm swede you are missing out. They really are sweet and smooth.
