I would like to see what people are running for gear carrying, etc for a shtf situation. Be it a battle belt, a chest rig, a plate carrier or any other on body equipment.

This is my setup. Right now I use an SOE Mookie War rig light, 8 mag. I also use a BDS universal thigh holster. One day I get all my gear together and put it on and snap a pic. I'll be adding a 6x6 chest rig medical pouch for my blow out kit and an NSW admin pouch, for pen, map, gps, multi tool, etc as soon as the funds are avaliable or Ill be switching to the SOE NSW chest rig. Ill update my pics as I add gear, lets see what your using.

BDS holster, I had a snap off to size out a spare. I wesr it with both straps tight. This holster will fit virtually any handgun, I carry a fullsize 1911 in it, but it can be adjusted in tiightness and for barrel length

my problems with those holsters is that they say they're ambi. but there's always some feature on them that doesn't work reversed. I bought a shoulder holster rig with a double magazine clip that claim to be ambidextrous to when I got to put the holster part working the magazine clips faced with their flaps towards the inside. I use a Black hawk which can be worn as a paddle holster or can be switched to a Molly set up so I can put it on my vest. I even have
a mount for it under my dashboard.

Yep, same guy that made mine, I love his stuff.

I wouldn't mind having a rig for some AR mags. Looks like Spots picked the right one too.

I'm thinking about selling that one, to pick up his NSW chest rig.

After my first carbine class I was pretty sure the vest thing wasn't for me, after the second I knew for sure there had to be a better way. I ran my last few classes with a duty belt holding a double stack ar mag holder right behind 2 pistol mag holders. This ended up mirroring what I keep in my car go bag except that belt is a leather reinforced belt. I use the duty belt because I can take it all off at once when drills are over.

I think I am headed for one of the VTAC belts for classes. I like the way they distribute the load.

Before my first class I was test fitting everything and I asked my wife if the vest made me look fat. She said no, your fat makes you look fat, the vest is just the icing on the cake.

I of course couldn't let that stand so I said: cake?

Interesting.  MWR from John Willis, and the holster from John's ex-wife's company.  And yet they work together :)

I have products from the original company - SOE Gear in Oceanside, OSOE Gear here in TN, and BDS in Oceanside.

If your just looking for a cheap chest magazine pouch rig, take a look at the surplus Chicom AK mag rigs.

I picked up a 5 mag chest pouch about 25 years ago at a gunshow for $10 & it has held up increadibly well, still use it when I don't want or need my Weesatch.

Granted they are made out of canvas & not nylon, so they will eventually dry rot if you let them, but mine has survived a number of pretty hardcore training sessions over the years, it is a bit slower due to the wooden button fasteners, but once you get the hang of opening them quickly with one hand it's not that big of an issue.
