With the shortage of components, and the rise in prices am researching swaging my 223 bullets from 22lr brass. Doesn't seem to be to complicated but the swaging dies are expensive. I have lathe and can make my own swaging dies. I really would like to see the process in person instead of videos. Any one close to Paris or Union City swag?  I'm not sure if I want to invest too much time in this without eyeballing this process. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Have a friend that has been making bench rest bullets In 6mm and 22 for along time. His dies were close to 3k for the set. I have seen a few Corbin setups that use 22 rimfire jackets. I was going to get into it when I lived out in Wyoming ( long winters). It's not a high rate of production, but pretty slick idea. When I talked to Corbin, i was told rate was about 50 - 75 projos per hour.

If you can make your own, it would be way better. I heard that with the price of the dies, that you would have to make a few thousand bullets to pay for the dies.  I wish I had a lathe, and I try something like that myself. I've not ran a lathe, mill, or anything machinist related in a few years. Definitely need to get back in it.
