I watched that hearing "in the background" while attempting to get some useful work done. Here are the three most stirring episodes as I recall it (continued into next post). The first clip is a long four minutes of a bloviating democrat, but sets up the other two clips which happened shortly afterwards in the hearing, sparked by this speech. There are trimmed clips of McDermott's tirade but in fairness the entire blather is included so as not to be taken out of context.

That was one of the most polite, concise "taking to the woodshed" by a very representative conservative. She is

one who should be on the other side of the table hearing those fools gripe.

 

Unlike so many, she hasn't given up. Bravo!

 

Of the most important things she said to them was "...that our representative government has failed". You do remember

what our founders said about that, don't you?
