I made a sandwich with some of the leftover pot roast. Delicious!

Took some of my Roma tomatoes, split them and just drizzled on some olive oil and sea salt. Also delicious. Truly vine ripe.

Today will be something very simple - I think. Probably another sandwich and some linguine with pesto. Now off to a bagel with cream cheese for breakfast.

Last night was some venison stew, with potatoes, onions, celery, carrots, and egg noodles for good measure, all in a nice rich broth. Turned out pretty good for something I tossed together off the top of my head. Only downside was that it boiled over at some point while I was downstairs doing other things, and left a fairly tough film of broth on the stove top.

I already had the meat cut up into chunks- as I recall, they were leftover parts of the hams after I'd cut out a couple roasts and sliced up a few steaks. I was a bit concerned the chunks might turn out rubbery, but they nearly melted in my mouth.

Gotta clear out the freezer, it's almost time to harvest some new meat to put in there.
