Went a Little Nuts Today

I got tired of trying to find an S&W in .44 special for a semi-realistic price. Went by the local shop and ended up coming home with a Charter Pug in 44 spec. Little worried about their mixed reviews but decided to chance it. Anybody got one of these critters? No time to play with it for a few days but will report back.

I used to own one and had no trouble with it . . . I sold it to my cousin only because he wanted it so badly when he got his HCP and he offered me a gun in trade and way too much $$$$$!

Out of curiosity, how are Charter Arms guns in general? I've heard bad things from one buddy, but seen some good on the net. Did he just have a bad gun or are there inherent problems like with older Taurus automatics?

fizik, that is the same type info I got. I'll be the guinea pig and let you know how this one works out. It came with the bobbed, dao hammer on it and I am not sure whether I like that or not. Leaning towards not, and may get a normal replacement hammer from Charter.

Looks like I may have to mortgage the cat if I don't start reloading for it!!!!!!
