Glock Customer Service

So I own two Glock 19's. One a gen 2 since the early 90's. While browsing the Glock website I found they would replace all internals for free. And would also refinish the slide for $45. They even upgrade the frame if you desire. So I shipped my Glock 19 to Georgia and wrote them a check to upgrade the frame and refinish the slide. Total cost to me $154. Glock customer service called and asked if it would be ok if they just replaced the gun with a new one. I was shocked and said hell yes! It shipped with 2 new mags in box...the works.

When I got it back 8 business days later I got the bright idea to sell it and maybe try something new. I'm so invested in trigger time and familiarity with this firearm and pleased with the service I'm keeping it. Just thought I'd share.

great weapon, great service.

I took my 19 to Glock in Smyrna GA and they replaced the frame and all internals, every part except the slide and barrel at no charge. They even swapped out my Clinton era 10 round mags for new 15's. And gave me new recoil springs for my 26 while I was there.

Their customer service is second to none!!!

Wow! That is great service. Still not great enough for me to buy a Glock, though.  :stir:

Or give up my Gen 2.

Not a chance in hell I would have allowed them to keep the Gen 2. The older Glocks were built when quality control was top notch. Once they replace the parts it's essentially a brand new gun.

Last year I scored a gen 2 19 made in 1988. I shipped it off to Glock and asked them to replace the internals and refinish the slide. It returned a month later with new parts but the slide  looked the same, if not worse than when I shipped it off. I asked them refund the money I paid to have the slide refinished and they did so without question.

I've also stopped in Smyrna while passing through and had my Gen 3 19 looked over. They replaced several parts and gave me several new magazines as well.

There is no question to me that their customer service is the best in the industry.

Back when the internals were hand made by little Austrian women. Those were the days :)
