My 9 year old shot 1000 yards for the first time.

I don't like to post faces, but in this case I have to. I started teaching my daughter how to shoot at the age of 4. We started with a suppressed .22, but she refused because daddy didn't shoot one. A suppressed AR in 300 Whisper became her trainer rifle. She killed her first and second deer at 7 with the same Whisper. Her third at eight. Last season she graduated to a suppressed 308 and killed a nice ten point. All the shots were under 200 yards. She has never shot a non suppressed rifle so I was a little nervous. I decided to take her shooting at a grand this morning. The gun is a Savage F-Class in 6mm BRX, 107 SMKs, Benchmark 30" barrel, and a 20x Leupold. The barrel was threaded and chambered by Spook and installed it about three weeks ago. The rifle belongs to a friend. My F-Class gun has a little more recoil than I want her to experience. One group is amazing and almost unbelievable, but I have video. Enjoy.

Cudos to Dad for exposing her to a great sport.........BUT, you do have a special daughter there and she deserves the credit.  I learned long ago you can't make a child enjoy a sport just because you do and it's quite apparent she loves shooting!

This is her at 5 with the 300 Whisper.

I have 3 foster children.

That's more respectable than a blind man using his feet to shoot a bow and arrow on a 1000 yard shot!

Yes. I called Bat Machine today, but didn't get a response. She has a hard time lifting the bolt on a Savage without disturbing the gun. I keep going back and forth on the action. I can lighten up the bolt on a Savage, but I really want to get her a nice custom action. My wife will shoot it as well and may compete. It's kind of hard setting up a gun for a growing kid.

I've never let anyone put her in a box. She takes dance classes on week days and deer hunts on week ends. My little boy wants to go shooting so bad he can,t stand it, but he's about 6 months from firing his first shot.

Thanks Sam. They will hopefully have my last name by the end of the year. We are doing everything we can to make it happen.

You have a world class competitor in the making there Alley Cat.  The only thing I can see as far as "working" with her is keep her in the scope.  She wants to see her work!

My favorite part of the first video: "Shoot when you're ready." Instantaneous BANG! :) She was already ready! God bless her, and you.
