Didn't the whole "Hitler gun control analogy" prove to be false? I'm not questioning the power if this woman's words but we need to make sure we're using facts in our arguments unlike the anti's who only use emotion.

Not 100% certain, but I've always thought Hitler imposed total confiscation of all guns.

If there is any one bright spot in the push toward registration and confiscation it's that it's the federal government doing it.

 

 

I have been told and have good reason to believe that the feds currently can't even keep accurate track of the 200,000 or so class 3 weapons...if than can't keep track of a couple hundred thousand how will they ever accurately keep track of 300 or 400 million???

I know the topics of tyranny and revolt and such are often discussed here, and I do not wish to steer the thread in that direction.  However, I believe each one of us needs to draw a line, a red line if you will, at which point you decide you would rather die than live under such oppression.  For me, that line is the point that someone tries to take any of my guns; not just ARs, not just handguns, any gun regardless of the reason.  I have said it before, and I'll say it again. I will never see the day that any of my weapons are taken from me by my government. 

 

I remember the saying, "Smart people learn from their mistakes, real smart people learn from other's mistakes."  I hope we, as lawful American gun owners, will be smart enough to learn from the mistakes of lawful gun owners of other countries.  If we are unable to defeat such legislation in the ballot box, I hope we will can read the writing on the wall and collectively decide to be noncompliant.
