They started selling the M-22 double pack about a year ago, before the panic.

In my area they started selling this about 2 years ago. It's actually one of my favorites.

You know when you see more than zero AR's in Walmart the rush is over.

Walmarts around here sell "Buckets o Bullets". .22 LR. Dont know how many they hold and have not bought one but a lot of people tell me they are a good deal.

I only bought it once, and got a bad run. Made the old Golden Bullets look good. Never got around to griping to Winchester about it though.

That's some good ammo. You let it at there?

I just dropped the coin on a new Glock 21 Gen 4, so I couldn't afford to splurge anymore. My wife would have killed me if I did.

I used to buy the Winchester bricks labeled Cowboy at Academy, I have run five or six bricks of it and I think I have had less than five duds.

I've always been told to avoid the Winchester .22LR. How well does it perform?

Most everybody swears by the M-22. There were a number of threads about about some bad runs though, and my one foray was apparently part of them. This was all about a year ago.

I really do like a 40gr lead head bullet like these, though.

I did have a bad box but that was well over a year ago. I like the ammo because it will cycle in everything. P22, AR, etc.
It's definitely good ammo.

Man, I'd LOVE to have a crack at buying one of those.  Just picked up a Buckmark for the wifey and we're both dying to break it in!

If anyone has a crack at a brick, I'd be happy to reimburse you for it and a little for your time/hassle!

That is a decent price but I'd probably save a few bucks and just buy 2 boxes of the Federal 525 packs and save a few bucks. Those are still priced at $21.97 I believe.

FWIW, I've had much better luck with the M22 than the Federal.
YMMV

I went along for the ride with a friend to the 153 wally world today.  They had no 22lr.....nor any other ammo outside of shotgun shells. The manager probably sells it all on GB...LOL

Was this in Hermitage? Had to have been, cause I looked at that same AR and said "damn what kinda Walmart shoppers are gonna come in here lookin' to buy a $2000 rifle?" And I thought in the truck on the way home "i bet that's the most expensive, in stock, single item in that entire store"

If it was thanks for leaving me the 22's

It was.... I didn't need the 22's since I bought a cheap crappy 22 I hate.

I need to go to my dads and get the old Ruger 10-22 back I got for passing to the 5th grade. lol I had too much fun shooting that thing. I used to shoot at least a brick or two on a weekend. I had the factory 10rd, a 30rd and a 50rd mag. I'd load and shoot until I my thumbs got too sore to load anymore.

As for what kind of customers would buy a $2k rifle at Walmart..... That'd be me. If I didn't already have a Sig 716, I'd bought it on the spot. :) Edited by JohnC

Then I would probaby consider you more refined than the typical Walmart shopper I see when I go in there. Lol
