One is pretty easy, but can you guess the other one?

A couple of new to me toys I picked up recently. (hint) They are both the same brand, and from the same era.

Yup. 1899 Savage F (saddle ring carbine) in 303 Savage, and a model 1920 Savage in 250-3000. That didn't take long. You don't run across many 1920's, or at least I don't.

Awesome. I've never even seen a 1920 Savage. I've seen them on line and magazines but, never actually saw one before. Congrats on both of them.

The 1920 is very trim. It feels like a single shot bolt action 22 in your hands. Except for maybe a Mannlicher-Schoenauer, it is the lightest, nimblest centerfire rifle I can recall laying hands on. The odd thing I found about it was that it has a military type 2 stage trigger.

What are the barrel lengths on them? The .303 is a rare bird nowadays. A guy a work had 2 boxes of Win. .303 Savage  190 gr. Silvertip ammo for sale about 2 months ago but, he's sold both boxes already. His was the second and third box that I've seen. Once again, they are both awesome finds.

The saddle ring carbine has a hevy, 20" barrel, while the 1920 has what I believe is a 22" barrel.

Do you have any idea when they were made?

The 1899 was made in 1906, an the 1920 was made sometime in the early 20's.
