ZT0561 and ZT0300

Recommended Posts

Duh. I read that wrong. First I've heard of the 600. Looks kinda like the Q36. I wish the blade wasn't over 4"

Mike,

I will ask RJ Martin the next time I speak with him, but I believe the blade length is a typo, the Q36 has a blade length just under 4 inches, I would think that the folks at Zero Tolerance would keep it that length

Here is a pick of one of my Q36 knives next to others, it is the one above the ZT 0350 and below the ZT 301, it looks like the blade is longer than it actually is, it is right under four inches I hope the ZT will be as well

Nice scores Mike.

As for the XM, its a great knife, and I got bit hard by the XM bug last year.  But I sold mine.  You can pm me for details if you'd like but I don't want to get into it in public.

One of the big things though made me switch, was flipping action.  The XM required work and practice to get that flipper up and running.  Having handled Grahams, Southards, and other amazing flippers that literally fly open, the XM just didn't live up.  So I've moved on.

I do still love the ZT collabs though.  The KVT system really brings the flipper where it should be on an XM.

Thanks Chris. You kinda told me what I want to know. I have no problems deploying the 0561 unless I have a spastic moment. :) Their new Hinderer collab (0566) will be assisted. If you get a chance to check it out at Blade, let me know what you think.

That is exactly why I got away from my XM knives, I love flippers and I prefer non spring assisted flippers such as the Q36 which is faster than any auto knife that I have ever tried, I am now hooked on Rj Martin knives and plan to own several Q36 knives when it is all said and done

I have a Kershaw Volt SS showing up tomorrow. Something to play with until the ZT0600 shows up. I ordered it before I saw this, discussing the original Volt...

BTW, I expect I'll wind up with a Q36 or two as well. Depends on how the ZT compares. In the case of the Hinderer knife, I see little or no reason to get an XM because of the ZT "knockoff".

You Honestly need to try a Q36 out to believe it, I have RJ making me one every year from now on until i get my fill

I probably will. The guy really impresses me. His engineering background gives him an edge (so to speak).
