...asking how much more that it was going to take before criminal charges and impeachment proceedings were going to begin for this administration.

I doubt that they have a canned answer waiting for that!

Dear Volzfan,

Thanks for getting in touch with me and letting me know what's on your mind regarding the constitutional eligibility of Barack Obama to serve as President of the United States.

Article II, Section I of the U.S. Constitution says: "No person except a natural born citizen, or a citizen of the United States at the time of the adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any person be eligible to that office who shall not attained the age of thirty-five years, and been fourteen years a resident within the United States."

The U.S. Supreme Court has repeatedly refused to consider any lawsuits centered on this issue and the State of Hawaii has said that Barack Obama was born in the United States. Although controversy still surrounds this issue, the way to defeat President Obama's agenda now rests in the ballot box.

I share your concern about the direction that President Obama wants to take our country. He has laid out a blueprint for a very different kind of America--one with less freedom, more government, more taxes, more spending, more borrowing. It's an America that our children and grandchildren will have difficulty affording. Although he inherited difficult problems, he has consistently made them worse: the wasteful stimulus bill that failed to deliver the jobs he promised, the healthcare bill that added more costs to an already burdened system, the financial reform legislation that is making it harder for main street businesses to secure credit to finance their operations, and an overall agenda that is hostile to business and individual freedoms.

I am grateful that you took the time to get in touch with me.  Your comments are important to me and I’ll be sure to keep them in mind as these issues are discussed and debated in Washington and in Tennessee.

Sincerely,
Lamar

That response was so off-topic, it must have been personally sent by Lamar himself. His staff has to be smarter than that.

Impeachment proceedings begin in the House.  ;)

I know but they can push for it to begin and since my Rep. is Jim Cooper...well that should explain why I didn't ask him!

Just stirring the pot a bit.
