I have been looking into getting a 1911 style gun and an Springfield XD series gun! I called a gunshop about 25 miles from here and got some prices. He has a Springfield XD45 service for $469+tax and BGC! He also has a Springfield 1911A1 GI for $439+tax and BGC! The XD is about $30 cheaper than anywhere else I have looked! And I thought the SA 1911 GI was a good price as well. What do you guys think about these prices!

Both sound good.

I had a SA 1911A1 mil-spec and now have an XD45c. The XD is a much better gun. The Mil-Spec 1911 is as it is, you can't change sites and any upgrade part money you would spend is better saved for a better out of the box 1911. It's a nice range toy though.

The main reason for the 1911 style, is the looks honestly! I like the looks of it! I have also considered the RIA 1911! They come very cheap and I have never heard anything negative about them! I would prefer to get a Kimber(like Tungsten's) but cant afford those. So Im going for the next thing!

If he wants more than $500 out the door for the XD-45, he is charging too much.

It will be more Im sure. $469+tax is like $510+$10 BGC! So around $520-525 I would say!
