I know they are one of the best made AK's...looked at Saiga, not really interested in a Saiga.

I've fondled and fired several Arsenals. Nicer and more detailed than I need or want, but definitely fine weapons.

One of the best AKs money can buy. That being said they are a little over priced, unless you don't want to have a Saiga converted. I formerly had an Arsenal SLR-106FR. It was the 5.56 version. I found it to be an awesome gun, accurate and was flawless. I caught the AR bug and sold it. The only downfall of the 5.56 gun was that the mags were expensive. I've been toying with the idea of getting an SLR-107FR, it's the same gun but 7.62X39 and takes tradtional AK mags. I say go for it if it's in your price range.

I bought a SA M-7 milled gun about five years ago and it is very nice. However I keep hearing bad reports about the 107's they are currently releasing. A lot of people are having to send them back for various issues.

I have an Arsenal 107. The front sight was canted, other than that, no issues. I called them to report this and got a very nice Eastern Bloc girl who told me "all rifles test fired at factory. All rifles function. if yours no blow up, then you have good rifle like we have at home" The new gunsmith at Herogear fixed it for me, then told me the trunion was also canted... guess those folks in bulgaria shoot to the left about 2 feet at 100 yrds... But, I think you can load a magazine of dirt clods and fire them off without malfunction. Gun seems indestructable

I have also heard that quality control has been lacking lately, canted sights and gas blocks seem to be the normal complaint.
