Worthless piece of information

Out shopping today with my wife I felt the nearly uncontrollable urge to...well... lets say "make a deposit". I hate doing this in public when I am carrying. I did however learn that a handgun and iwb holster will wedge between the handicap rail and the wall. This avoids slipping off the TP holder or setting it between your feet.

hahaha yeah that is the downside to IWB carry...always gotta find a place to put the pistola if its a medium size or larger.

I hate doing that in a public restroom at all because you never know what the last guy was carrying and I don't mean firearms-wise. When forced by circumstance I take my XD9 out out of the holster and simply hold it.

Any reason you don't leave it in the holster on the belt inside the pants and not drop your pants below the knees?

& I typically carry OWB. but I typically do, if I cant make it home or to a buddys house in time. When I'm ready. I'll place my SW99 between my legs... in my pants... I dont like leaving it on the TP holder. or laying on the floor..

trust me, unclip the holster. especially if it is an uncle mikes. i had an unexpected emergency hit me in a store one time and in my hast i neglected to remove the holster and upon the drop of the pants, i deposited a loaded glock in the damn commode. thank god i had flushed the toilet first.

there is nothing like trying to be totally quiet while field stripping a dripping wet gun in a public restroom while using that john wayne toilet paper to dry it best you can. now when im out and about, i use a fobus retention paddle holster. i wont be guilty of that embarrassing mistake again.

there i told one on myself, and no i do not own that gun anymore. it was sold over a year ago LOL you can say it wasnt worth a sh-t to me anymore hahahaha

I watched Shootem Up last night on Cinemax and that happened to him.

He had time to drop his gun in a crapper full of poo,flush it,wash it off,field strip it,then blow dry it under the hand drier!

All while the killer slowly walked down the hall after him

That was one of the funniest things I have ever seen movie wise!

i carry the colt defender or a stsr pd 45, both weigh about 25 ounces if the occasion arises i just put it in my shirt pocket.just remember not to bend over.

The only solution that I have found to this problem is carrying with a belly band when I think that I'm going to be using a public restroom for any reason, especially if I might need to use a urinal. Fortunately I've never had to make mud in a public restroom while carrying.

Hmm. Had the misfortune of dropping my P7 on the floor.It broke floor tile hitting the ground. I normally just hold it in my hand. People are always afraid of their guns "mysteriously" going off... just keep your finger off the bang button.

There is a reason I use holsters with belt loops. I don't think I own a holster that would let the gun drop out like that. Not a fun way to spend your time fishing in a public toilet.

I just keep mine in the holster... the the pants around mid-calf, I just move my feet outward enough to sort of keep tension on the waistband, and it stays put just fine.

Yeah, the only time I have issues with it is the occasional, um, ornery customer that might require some creative bracing, if you know what I mean.

But since I endeavor to confine these activities to the comforts of my own home whenever possible, it's generally not a problem. I'm not a big fan of the "away from home dump."

I usually remove the holster from my belt with the gun in it and lay them inside my pants. Dont have to worry about it falling and it would be hard to spot from outside the stall.

Now... THAT's funny!!

I've learned from cell phone experience... don't take them off and leave them on the handicap rail. Done that more than once and walked off down the hallway! I have a real fear I might some day do that with my firearm. To wit... it never comes out of the holster... and the holster stays on the belt!!

I'm thinking about getting a Fobus retention holster for OWB carry of a 1911. Guy that gave my HCP class kept his Glock in one. He loved it.

I had a Fobus for my Ruger P94 and hated the thing. Seemed cheaply made, and removing the gun was more difficult than I really liked. And to top it off, the paddle on mine was pretty ineffective at staying with my pants. Which is in stark contrast to the UM paddle I have now- it's got a little finger that hooks the inside of your pants. I can't remove that thing without unzipping, but I know it ain't going anywhere if I have to draw.

but it's a glock.....you shouldn't have to dry it out....it's made to work that way...hell it's made to work even if you HADN'T flushed first.

Why do you think people always refer to use of the CCW as when S*** hits the fan???
