Just wondering what you veteran hand-loaders thought of the hand-loading in the first couple of minutes of this movie.

 

Usually, when Hollywood highlights something as technical as this, they do what looks good and get it wrong.

I only remember wanting a second look at the case trimmer...I believe he pulled a rope or something to rotate the cases being trimmed???

That would be a Lee Zip Trim.  Great little gadget

What I found interesting. Yes, they show a case being trimmed and a nice polished case at that. Then the scene where he chambers the round in the M-14, it's a ratty scratched up round that looked like range brass. It's the little things they always miss in movies.

They also goofed a little IMO, towards the end when Reacher shoots the black guy thats holding her hostage, he takes off the magnified optic to use the iron sights on the top rail for close in but the rifle has what looks like a trijicon RMR on a 45degree offset mount. All he had to do was rotate the rifle instead of ripping off the scope.
