Osprey gas system?

Anyone use this system or know much about it. I like that you can use standard forearms and it is $100 less than the Ares/bushmaster system. Here are few links i found. Just looking for "real life" info. Thanks

Odd. The creator's website says LE, MIL only, but the seller does not.

I bumped my old thread about the gas piston conversion from bushmaster but I am curious about this one too.

This doesnt mean anything once its gotten out to vendors.

Its the same situation with Federals "LE only" HST ammunition... they only sell to MIL\LE\ ... but once it hits the shelves of vendors everything is game. Its not a law not permitting sales outside LE.. its just some corporate policy.

As for the osprey.. eh. Their cool tech but IMO, not worth 300 bucks unless your shooting "fully" in a swamp all day.

Just another "tacticool" accessory.

Not really. I emailed them asking about leo/mil only sales and I was informed about the civilian waiting list. They should be taking payments at the end of August and shipping in early september.

BTW, not for 6.8SPC and .308, but supposed to be out later.
