Benchmade pardue

Im looking to buy a decent quality folding knife. The benchmade Pardue 530 has realy caught my interest. A coworker carries one and it feels good to me.

What do you guys think of these? I like that they are realy thin and lightweight, but to me they look kind of like a fish, thats the only thing that i dont like.

Is the spearpoint a good choice for a carry knife?

You can't get a better knife than a Benchmade.  Quality, Style, Durability combined with their excellent customer service is what keeps me a Benchmade customer.  I clip my benchmade in my back pocket.  One day while in college, I went to sit down in a chair and caught the clip on the back of the chair bending the clip up to an unrepairable position.  I sent the knife back to benchmade for their "lifesharp" service.  They replaced the clip, cleaned and sharpened the knife for only $5 for shipping back to me.  Cant beat that man.

Nice Benchbreak story. Sorry, Benchmade*!

Ever heard of Spyderco? Here's an interesting fact - they INVENTED the pocket clip for knives. Far better materials and craftmanship when matched dollar to dollar. In that aspect they blow away any other brand out there. I carry a digital Spyderco Military everyday.

They are very unique in design and come out with many new models every year. The opening hole and their unique clip design set them apart from others out there. They have many different models in many different price ranges. Check them out!

Spyderco also has incredible customer service right here in the states (Golden, Colorado). You dont have to mail your knife in to get new clips, they mailed me a set for free. They have a lifetime warranty and will also sharpen it for life.

Benchmade makes an excellent product, as does Spyderco and Kershaw.

I wouldn't lock myself in to one brand/model. Do some shopping and see if you still come back to the Benchmade. If you do, then buy it.

Yep. I just went thru a knife hunt/purchase. I've never been a knife guy, but figured I might as well. I wound up buying a Benchmade, but didn't see any badmouthing of any of those three brands. I just picked the features I liked. Here's the one I ordered. It WILL break...

I love my Benchmade Presidio Tanto. With that said, look and compare and buy what you like.

Yep. When it comes down to it. You ought to be able to find it too, since there is at least a zillion choices :)
