Fixed my own car!

Heater core in a friend's girlfriends '89 Camaro.  We had to take the whole dash out of the car.  In the school parking lot.  In the summer.  It took 4 of us 9 hours.  Never again.

Yeah same here. Whole dash. I started it and then let it sit in pieces for a week before i put it all back together. Saved about $600.

I have scars from pulling dashes to change AC and heater cores, pays good.

From my experience, there are more bad mechanics out there than there are good ones.  I don't enjoy doing my own repairs but I don't trust anyone else to do it right.  In fact, it seems it's nearly impossible to get anyone to do a good job with anything any more.

Very true.  A trustworthy mechanic is hard to find these days.

True that!

But, if anyone needs help with ignition coils, I am your man!

2003 Pathfinder had that issue as well. Half the driver power seat quit in early 2011. Traded it. Great SUV, took a 50mph hit to the tow hitch in 2009 and was never the same anyways.
