Just traded as S&W Sigma 9mm for a DW 15-2 357 8inch revolver.  9mm are hot so it was a good trade.  Any Dan Wesson shooters here?

great trade.  you can get parts kits and upgrades here:  http://www.ewkarms.com/zen8/  contact TGO'r plinker4life and ask him about his DW.

The key thing about DWs is that their lock time is a bit quicker than the other revolvers and the longer barrelled ones were used in silhoutte shooting.  If you are looking for shorter barrels contact EWK.  However, when he does have shrouds they are heavy but add a lot of fun in enabling you to take some long comfortable one-handed shots with .357.

You can generally find parts on gunbroker and Numrich.  The Dan Wesson forum isn't the most hopping place but it has good info.

GC, yes the action seems tight and with the 8 inch vent heavy lug barrel, she tips the scales at about 47 ounces.  Thaks for the tip on parts and I look forward to the versatility.

We have a DW 6" barrel, about the best shooting revolver we have.

Our Ruger Black Hawk is the best.

If it's anything like the one I had years ago, it's one heck of a gun. Wish I still had that jewel.

Yes, I've got one I got back in the day. It hasn't had over 25 rounds put through it and that was recently.

Yes, I have had mine for over 35 years, still shoots as great today as it did new. Without a doubt to got the best of that deal.

I picked one up a few months back and it shoots great.  The double action isn't as smooth as my 586, but the single action is nice and crisp.  I bought a Wolf spring kit and plan to do a fluff and buff at some point and see if I can smooth out the DA.  It will probably never tough the slick DA of a 586, but should be good enough for IDPA.
