What he has been doing is outright lying. The press is even starting to turn on him. The little

commie can't figure how to spin his crap correctly. The administration will probably have to turn

to Bill Burton or David Axelrod to do the spinning after he is gone, but that will backfire on them,

also.

Thank you, fools. The Republicans will gain the senate, finally, over this garbage. The Democrats

will be turning on each other each and every day because of this. You will see everyone in that

party turning into Joe Manchins and getting their picture made with an AR-15 in their hands, just

to get re-elected.

There is no real way to spin an absolute lie once the facts come out.  His only hope on this one is that his friends in the media will try to downplay the cover-up and do a good enough job that his groupies will buy it.  I am not sure that is apt to happen considering folks like Joe Klein have even come out against him on this and are even criticizing the use of the IRS to target right-wing political groups.  Perhaps even the loony left realizes that this administration is starting down some potentially dangerous paths with its policies.

When I read the title of the thread I knew it was Benghazi related but honestly thought it would be Hillary. The title had me at "He."

Under the bus???  It's a nice thought but I'll believe it when I see it.

I don't think this country and especially Congress has the stomach to hold anyone accountable for anything today.

Having the stomach, and then doing something about definitely are two different things, Robert. Given the

situation they have put themselves in by all the lies, coverups and flat out attempts to destroy the Constitution,

this time around, there will be Hell to pay.

I will dig some dirt on Hillary, later today, just to continue having fun. :D She,Holder,Panetta and several others are

all over this and we need to remember every bit of this before several million of the electorate go back to sleep, or

put on their Bozo nose and rationalize it all away, as they tend to do. Good men died because of these criminals

and I consider it a duty to rid us of the vermin in this administration. Call me a racist, or whatever you wish. They

caused this and they have to pay.

Robert, you really don't think Jay Carney will go under the bus for the narcissist? Look at the hit parade who already have. They willingly prostrate themselves for their leader and are well compensated in other ways

just to fall on the sword. A bunch of complete fools.

Maybe it depends on our respective definitions of "under the bus"...maybe Carney will resign, probably citing his inability to be an effective spokesman because of all the unfair and inaccurate right-wing media coverage and/or to pursue other interests (and wind up as a regular one one of the Sunday talk shows).  ;)

Always a good read, Randall. :D And for those who fail to remember, Hillary has a stack of corpses to view, along

with being married to the Philanderer-in-Chief, who should have been removed for his indiscretions, which were

more than just "casual sex", as some around here evidently believe.

These vermin are dangerous to the Republic, to which we should be standing against them.

I want to stand and Im sure plenty of others do but how do we get the attention of thoes who are either indifferent or think we are just a bunch of right wing conspiracy nuts. I have enough of a hard time understanding and following politics, how can I wake others up?

Become politically active, any way you can. Tell your reps exactly how you feel, at the least. Try to steer

the argument to the center stage by becoming active in your local political party. That's where it all starts.

Join the Tea Party is another step in the right direction. Throughout history, the most successful campaigns

were the loudest and the most voices.

Above all, articulate to your best ability, just how you feel about an issue.

I suspect the rats (press) are hedging their bets about now.  They want to show that they are all for apple pie and the American way, figuring if the facts lead to a change in control of the White House, they could be targeted just as the Patriot groups have been under a different type of totalitarianistic junta.  Now it is time to remove the ability of an administration to do so.

I don't see how Carney can be the scapegoat on this.  Everyone knows that the Press Secretary only presents the official views of the White House; they are just the messenger.  Of course, people have been known to bend reality to fit their own worldview and clear up any cognitive dissonance they have, so it's possible some would accept a Carney resignation and leave it at that while somehow pretending that Obama and other high-level officials had no influence over this cover-up.

I'd also be very surprised to see any sort of impeachment come out of this, and I am fine with that.  I am very concerned about the talk about impeachment that comes up with every presidential administration.  I think that the framers of the Constitution did not have this sort of thing in mind when they said "treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors".  Bad policy decisions just don't reach that level and if we travel down that road I fear we risk opening a door to impeachment hearings for every bad policy decision.  That's what elections are for.  If we start impeaching officials for every major error, we will no longer have a stable government and will become like a banana republic where we impeach our leaders at will.  Plus, we'll be stuck with "shotgun" Joe and that would be a whole new mess to worry about.

What I do hope is that these latest scandals, on top of "Fast and Furious" the Obamacare "train wreck" and his other policy missteps will cause him to lose his political support in DC and in the media.

ET, I tend to share your opinion on this, but when Carney knowingly lied, and he had to know at least

one of his versions was a lie, he knew his days would be numbered. He has been caught on record all

the way around, as far as "official responses" go, and there is no way he can back it up, or do a second

take. It also reflects on his boss as to what the message is. you can only use the mantra of "I was just

saying what they told me to" just so much. He'll fall on his own sword, somehow or another.

What's funny about this whole sad situation is that the administration probably used the IRS story to begin

the cover up of all this garbage. That will backfire, big time. These people are pikers, compared to the

Nixon days.

If those of us who were around knew the Watergate deal would be so overshadowed by this buffoon, even

this late, we would have wanted to see Nixon fight like Hell to keep his presidency.

Things have changed that much. A huge downhill spiral.

Looking again at what you said, I agree about the scapegoat thing, even though they will try. He is just

the messenger. It should blow on above him.

Carney is simply a mouthpiece, he will not be charged with anything, other than maybe in the court of public opinion, (but I suppose as he suffers from a "Baghdad Bob" persona already, that will be the worst of his punishment).  He can only repeat what he is told, doubt anyone could convict him of drumming this stuff up...

However, the head of the Treasury Department, and the Chief council of the IRS are political appointees, there at the pleasure of the White House.  Whether it be Obama or Valerie Jarret as the picker of those partridge, Obama will be the one presumed responsible, as his is the office chair.  If this moves inter agency, it could well point to the executive branch.

Targeting "Political enemies" with a branch of the Federal government under the direction of personally appointed officials is not something one wants to have on their resume, it tends to lead to throwing terms like impeach around.

The game is afoot methinks.

All I can say it that if that rag the New Yorker printed that story the administration has problems. May they continue.

It's getting to be tough to keep up with all the scandals, they've really been coming fast and furious (ahem) this past week. First, the media at large finally pays attention to Benghazi, then the IRS is exposed for targeting conservative and pro-Israel groups, now the Justice Dept. has secretly been keeping tabs on AP reporters.  That last one might actually get the press to finally turn on Obama, and, as one article put it, if they start treating his administration like they treat Republicans, he's finished.  We can only hope.

He is destroying the country, but most important to them, he is destroying the Democrats. They have so much to lose.

I hope they lose it, also.

Unfortunately, there is no law I know of that Carney violated - AFAIK is it not illegal to lie except under oath and we couldn't even impeach the sex-addict for doing that. Carney may well depart the White House but so what?  That's probably a good thing for him and his future.

The mainstream press will be the key here...if they truly start doing their job then there is a chance and maybe we'll get to replace the America-hating socialist with the idiot (I guess that may be an improvement).

No one cares whether there is a law against what Carney said, but credibility is important. He is just the latest

propagandist for the administration, Robert. The media, as a group, are the ones mad at Carney for the stunt

he pulled by only allowing a few select members of the press corp, without cameras or audio. He did that to try

to steer the narrative.

I think it is interesting about Sharyl Atkisson at CBS News being shunned by her boss, who happens to have a

brother in the administration. I hope she shows up at FOX, soon. She was the first major media source to break

Fast and Furious and is being held back in her stories for that network concerning the latest in Benghazi and others.

She was accused by her boss at CBS of "advocacy journalism" by him. What a hypocrite.

BTW, Clinton was impeached, but not removed from office.
