HAPPY MOTHERS DAY TO ALL THE MOTHERS HERE!

 

Mothers day is sad day for me because I lost my mother to an automobile accident 12 years ago.  For the ones that still have theirs, make sure to just hug them, appreciate them, and above all tell them you love them!  I wish I could.  This is me and my mother some 40+ years ago (love you mom)!:

To all of you who are fortunate to have your mother still with them and for those who are married to a "mother" I wish you and them a happy mother's day.

 

This is my first "Mother's Day" without my mom being here.

 

In the early morning hours last Monday (the 6th) my mom passed away - her funeral was this past Thursday.

 

Ironically now, both Mother's Day and Father's Day are especially sad as I lost my dad just before Father's Day in 2001.

 

I was very fortunate to have the parents that I did; not that there were perfect...they were as subject to human weakness and failure as we all are but I never once doubted that I was loved and never once doubted that if necessary, they would have gladly given their lives to save mine. They taught me the value of work...the value of other people...the rewards that come with sacrifice and charity and gave me a love of music and literature.

 

If you have a mother in your life; be sure to give her an extra hug today!
