Beretta NEOS Recall?

Has anyone sent their NEOS in for the recall work? Supposedly they have had issues of firing with the safety on as well as firing when putting the safety on. There is no cost to send it back to them for work but I have read reports of them coming back with worse triggers than when they left. I haven't even shot the gun yet as I just picked it up yesterday used but hey if I can get new parts and get the gun reworked for free then why not?

 

Just hoping someone has had some experience with this and can share.

I had some trigger issues with my Neos a few years back (trigger wouldn't always reset, along with weak firing pin strikes). I sent it back twice and the 2nd time they just sent a new Neos to my ffl. No issues since. (the first time I got it back the trigger was worse - hence the need to send back again).

I believe there is a way to look at your firing pin to tell if your gun needs the recall work. Niether Neos that I possessed needed to be recalled ... A little google should lead you to the info on determining if your Neos needs recalling.

All in all it's a fun little pistol and Beretta did right for me. (along w sportsmans warehouse in Chattanooga handling the return shipping).

Yeah mine is the Inox version but has the original firing pin that is eligible for the recall work. I have already applied for the pickup label and everything.

Recall only affected a run of them from a number of years ago now, so if the one you "just picked up" is new, don't see it's an issue.

 

Info on Beretta USA site somewhere how to tell. (on dialup this week so ain't gonna look for it myself).

Nope, but my friend bought one brand new. Dry fired it once and it locked up. The slide would NOT open.

Beretta sent him a whole new gun. Paid shipping both ways. Last time asked him, he hadn't had any more issues with it.

First I've heard of this, but checking mine... it's says the repair has already been completed.

Shot it yesterday and it ran fine. It is one of the early affected ones though so I guess I will just go ahead and send it in. It's a pretty accurate little gun!

Send it in. They are dangerous without the upgrade. Even if the trigger is miserable when it comes back it is still better than a unsafe gun.
