Believe it, my friend. We have allowed the government to become too large, and there is little to no accountability when things like this happen. Consider ourselves lucky to get the lousy apology.

What's not to believe?

Was I not sarcastic enough? :D

This last election is looking more and more like a third world nation's election. I thought it was bad enough before this as far as the voter corruption was concerned.

Maybe this isn't the right place for this, but, what I heard on Quinn and Rose this morning, Rose talked about

a controversial ad that Romney could have placed, based on the Hillary ad about the 3 AM call, concerning the

Benghazi incident that could very well have changed the election. Of course, we'll never know that, but I wonder

if even the Romney campaign could have been getting some intimidation through political misuse by governmental

agencies, also.

Probably not, because the nitwits who were in charge of his campaign had no C.O. Jones and even though the

ad was approved by the RNC, his campaign refused to air it. When I heard it on the radio, I thought it could have

helped.

On a lighter note, Anne Hathaway looks much better as a brunette, and that dress is hideous. :D

From the article at that same link. :D

Using a part of the federal government to intimidate the political process. I just

can't believe this.

It's true!!!  Elections have consequences!!

All this proves points up a couple of things.  Chicago stye politics is alive and well thanks to Team Obama and those who "serve in public service" like their jobs so well that they will do clearly unlawful things to keep the favor of their masters.

By the way, this aint a purely Democrat activity.   Lamar used a "scorched earth" policy against the pesky democrats in his first term as governor of the great state of Tennessee.

Should I feel better because this was done by "low level employees"?

REALLY..!!!!  What the crap are they making decisions like this for anyway.   (Said just like I believe Lois Lerner...huh?)

Yeh, and why would this administration hire 16,000 more IRS agents? That explanation of Obamacare

is kinda tiring, when the only thing I can think of is more federal harrassment from your friends at the

IRS. Audit levels are about to go through the roof. The po need feedin, and Obamaphones.

get ready it is going to get worse.. Hard times, more government control, more new laws to keep the normal person down. Everything is geared for low information voter. If you have a job get ready to pay more in taxes and everything that you need to live.

I'm still curious how they are claiming this isn't politically motivated if they are admitting that these organizations were specifically targeted. What a crock.

Lincoln was a monster and Booth got to him about 5 years too late. If any president deserved to be shot, it was Lincoln.

The bigger question is, why wasn't a single person disciplined or fired over this targeting?  This is a perfect example of tyranny of our government against citizens trying to organize legal political opposition.

Not only did the IRS do it, but they lied to congress and the American people by repeatedly denying that it was being done.

Most likely because it happens all the time, someone just slipped up and let the cat out if the bag. Might as well say that ALL conservative groups are targeted and places like Dr. Gosnell's clinic will be exempted.

Tyranny alive and growing.

But there is a huge difference between the two. One of the main differences is people die of the policies

of liberal "rule". Even the feel good crap of their deeds like welfare, people die because of it. I won't go

past mentioning abortion because it may offend some sensibilities. Military actions to protect Soldiers go

undone, and I might add intentionally in this administration's case.

The IRS is the government's "Robin Hood", an enforcement tool even. Take something from someone

productive and give it away, with certain strings attached, to even out the misery. Nixon was nothing if

you want to compare the two. Clinton had his own share of deaths, but to my recollection, it was his way

of covering up his own criminal activity, and Hillary, the Wonder Woman was equally the criminal, if not

more. The only thing this president cares of the military is how they bow to him. Otherwise, he has no use

but for starting problems with places like Israel, or, if he has a chance to use them against his own country.

Republicans cause problems when they get that liberal progressive streak, kind of like that stripe on the

back of a skunk. Get rid of the Rove's of the party and we can be rid of that. Why Bush gave us the

Patriot Act mystifies me. I don't want their kind of security. We were more secure in our own abilities to

deal with life without our government's intrusion in our lives or without it's storm trooping, like in Boston.

Yeh, they both have unique problems, but one is geared toward life, and the other death. Pick your poison.

Well, perhaps obama (at the moment at least) is more similar to lincoln than nixon, inasmuch that both lincoln and obama are extremely polarizing. Some folks idolize them and some folks think they are/were agents of the devil. Heck, even today lots of republicans, especially yankee republicans, idolize lincoln even though he was responsible for thousands of their great-great-grandaddies killed in a stupid war.

Nixon was not so polarizing because even during his salad days the range of sentiments toward nixon ranged from extreme dislike up to mere mild disdain. :) In 20/20 hindsight the range of opinion has only grown narrower.

Possibly in the future obama will lose enough admirers to fall into the nixon span of public opinions, but one wonders if that would ever be possible.

If lincoln hadn't been deified by booth as a martyr, and been forced to preside for at least three more years over the slow motion trainwreck of reconstruction, then lincoln wouldn't nowadays have near as many ardent admirers.

Dunno, Lester. 3.5 years is a long time yet.

We'll never know about JFK either, since he would have had 5 years more for a legacy (surely would have been re-elected, seems).

There is a stark contrast between progressives and conservatives.  Conservatives are guided by their morals, traditions, common sense, and a general sense of right and wrong.  They learn from the past and embrace the wisdom gained from generations past.  Progressives on the other hand toss every single bit of that out the door because they think they are the most intelligent human beings to ever walk planet Earth.  They have no regard for right and wrong as long as it helps them achieve their means, something they call "progress".

This story seems to be heating up.

With Benghazi and some other issues that have been glossed over, time is ripe for a Deep Throat to emerge to change everything.

I think you are right.  The Press seems to be turning on the Obama Administration, a bit.  Like the sharks they are, they are smelling blood and starting to circle.  Want to bet on whether or not the current administration, throws Hilary under the bus, if the attention starts getting too hot? :)

Hopefully you are right. Even someone who comes out in self interest (book deal, etc.). As someone once said "you have the right to remain silent but most people are incapable".
