this right here made me sick

"A video of the ramp ceremony intended to honor the fallen American and Afghan servicemen shows an Imam praying over the caskets. According to the Vaughns, a certified translation of the Imam’s remarks revealed he “desecrated” and “damned” the bodies of the Americans in Arabic.

Military brass prohibited “any mention of a Judeo-Christian God” at the ceremony the press statement says, but “invited a Muslim Cleric to the funeral for the fallen NAVY SEAL Team VI heroes who disparaged in Arabic the memory of these servicemen by damning as infidels to Allah.”

Do they have the audio that can be translated which proves this claim?

I seriously doubt Breitbart would make it up. The guy who runs it for Breitbart, now, has quite an impeccable

record, from what I understand.

It's just a claim when someone from the right makes it, and quite different when the MSM says it. This is

frustrating, to me. Most people don't even remember the Chinook going down, because it got virtually no

press.

So Christianity and talking about that is unnaceptable in the military now (we have a thread on that right?) but we can allow this to happen? Im not Christian but this really pi&&3s me off.

Time for some the fallen hero's team members to take on an " off the record" mission about two o'clock in the morning. Send this Dbag to meet his 72 virgins.

Personally I would have liked to read about him being chained to the casket.

While I feel for the families of the fallen, the stuff in there about the airframe used being gross negligence is absolutely absurd. Everyone uses CH47s, even super cool tier one units. They fit a whole lotta people and it is easier to take a couple of Chinooks than half a dozen Blackhawks. They act like they were sent into combat in a clunking paper weight. This makes them lose all credibility with me. You go to war with what you got. If we sat here and analyzed every mission ever where a Servicemember was killed and blamed it on not using the absolute best equipment out there we would be here for years. These families need to STFU regarding that.

As for the Imam, I want a recording or transcripts to verify. I'm not getting spun up about something from an unreliable source. These families are an unreliable source based on their overreaction to the mission conducted and the tools used to conduct it. Edited by TMF

When I die, if I am secure in my faith and right with my GOD, there is NOTHING no man can say or do that will change where I go. And if some Inman thinks he can change that then he can kiss my white furry butt!

There were also several Afghan SOF and at least one Afghan interpreter killed in the crash. The ceremony was a joint ceremony which included our Afghan partners. There is a picture of an Afghan LTC speaking at the ceremony. The fact that there was an Imam there should be expected, just as we had Chaplains from our service there.

If the Imam had said anything intentionally disgraceful it would have been noticed by one of the many Afghans in attendance. The only thing I hear is Quranic verse being sung, which is in Arabic, so perhaps no one there would understand it because they speak either Dari or Pashtu, but they would still likely know the intent of the verse and would have nipped that in the bud. One or more of the Afghan SOF guys would have kicked his ass. I don't think there is a story here, I think it is people getting worked up over nothing based on misleading and unreliable information.

I'm agreeing with TMF on this one.  I find it hard to believe that the people there would have missed it.  Not all SOF guys are proficient in the language but you can bet there were several people on the ground that had a working vocabulary and would of understood the imams remarks.  As far as not mentioning Judeo Christian God, it is simply a matter of military regulations.  That topic has already been discussed in other threads.  You have to basically look at this as combined but separate ceremonies.  Where US service members follow DOD guidance and regulations and the Afghan counterparts follow their guidelines.

that 3 star general in the video also very likely has a U.S. Citizen interpreter who would have told him if something like that was actually being said.    We've all seen what creative editing by the media can become so until someone shows the full video or a person on ground with first hand knowledge coms forwards i'm going to go with this is BS
