COLT AR in the display case, today 5-9-13

Walmart North end of clarksville, Ft. Campbell Blvd.  Has a Colt AR15 at 4PM today.

 

No lie!  I was shocked to see it... was going to buy it...

(I could claim momentary madness and get away with it!)...

THEN I saw the sticker price!!!

I think the rifle, itself is worth about $900.

The fact that it has COLT stamped on it, costs about $500....my :2cents:

COLT AR's were always priced on the high end of the mass produced market.

Which model? I saw the Magpul 6920 version in Hermitage a few weeks back. Was about 1200 if I remember correctly. It is usually a little higher than the standard model.

Saw one in Crossville Wednesday for $1497 don't remember the make or model

Guess all these sightings means the resellers are losing faith in their ability to scam us for huge amounts of profit.

Murfreesboro Walmart has 2 Colt ARs also.  $1300 and $1400.  6720LE and 6920.

Before the craze, I got my Colt LE 6920 for $1,097 at Walmart.
 
That model doesn't offer enough for me to pay $1,400 or more, though.

I think the SOCOMs are going for $1400. Could have been that one. If it's a straight Colt then  yeah it's about $300 too high for wally world pricing.
