savage model 64?

im thinking about getting my first 22 i have milsurps and lever actions and a few shot guns but never owned a 22 and i was thinking about get a model 64 and was wonder whats yalls take on em

I've shot a few of them. All worked great.

I'd take one over a Marlin 60. Most 60's work great.

But then you'll get one that just doesn't feed right...

 

I've only shot 3 model 64's that I can recall. None ever gave any problems.

You can pick them up pretty cheap used at pawn shops and gun shows at time.
