Best reheated pizza?

Recommended Posts

Other than fresh pizza, I never have determined what is the fresh re-heated pizza.  All pizza is the same when cold and re-heated to me.  I did learn to eat cold or room temperature pizza in college.  25 years later, cold or so so, I can eat about any pizza.  My wife thinks I am crazy.

Yes....

But for a more specific answer...Jet's...hot, cold, reheated, nuked.  I reheat my pizza when I can though in a toaster oven.  Keeps the crust from getting sogging.

Pie in the Sky was my favorite pizza, hot or reheated,  before they closed the one by Hampton-Vanderbilt.

Bar none, the best pizza in Nashville is Joey's House of Pizza on Elm Hill Pike. It must be good, they are only open from 11-3 M-F and rain/snow/sleet/shine there is a fast-moving line nearly out the door EVERY day. Yet, I'm always in/out in under 45 minutes including sitting down to eat.

There's another pretty good mom & pop shop in Smyrna called Salvo's Pizza. They make a mean pie too.

I love Russos in Germantown, its the closest to pizza from home that I can find. That said, I think reheating a good pizza is blasphemous. It stays out overnight unrefridgerated and is finished (at room temperature) the next day.

Dont judge me. Edited by RedLights&Sirens

Whatever the pizza, for reheating, a small toaster oven seems to be the best.  Microwave is worst option.

This is going to be one of those times you need to experiment with, what pizza I like, you may not.

I got one of those emails with tips one day.  It said to microwave something for reheating purposes to place a 12 oz or so glass of water in with the food.  I've tried it with pizza and other items.  It does work pretty good.  Give it a try.  First thing I noticed was no fogged up microwave window and a huge reduction in steam when you open the door. Though it's not exactly perfect, it's a pretty good improvement.

I gotta say I really like the meat lover's pizzas in the Wal Mart deli. Don't knock em till you tried em.

The SAMs club in my area has an awesome pizza as well. They both probably come from the same vendor.

NYPD is good the catch is they only sell very large pizzas but they sell calzones too. It's pretty good.

My favorite pizza reheated or fresh is still godfathers... I wish they would open more stores.

Wholefoods in chatt does awesome brick oven pizzas. That's my 2nd choice.

I'm the odd man out in this thread I cannot eat cold pizza.

For me, it's Jet's 8 corner. Put it in a cold oven. Turn the oven to 450. Set the timer for 8 minutes. Your mileage may vary.

You inspired me. 8 corner on the way.

Best crust in Nashville.

Carry friendly with their drivers, too. My local store owner went a long way to support one of their drivers after he was involved in a shooting following a robbery attempt.
