Why making friends at your local LGS matters.

Went into the local sporting store (actual gun shop is 30 miles away) and every time I've been in there I've chatted up a guy at the counter that loves old Mosin rifles and helped me pick one out a few weeks ago. Yesterday afternoon on a whim I walked in and picked up a box of 380 and 9mm hollow points for my carry guns and was looking at the 50 round boxes of match grade 22 and told the wife I just won't buy expensive 22 for plinking no matter how low I was.

The guy got done with someone else and walked up and asked if I was looking for some 22 and I answered yes. He said hold on and went into the back and out came a case, and handed me two Remington 525 boxes for $21. This is a place that doesn't put out ammo except in the mornings the day after it arrived.

I felt like Charlie with the golden ticket in the Willie Wonka movie lol.

Now to tell the buddy to buy his damn rifle since I've got ammo covered for awhile lol.

And we even got the wife's prints and DMV paperwork done yesterday so it was a good day out.
