He lives in the neighborhood my church is in. Glad to see he cut his hair. He had 1' long dreads.

That guy looks very familiar to me. I'm trying to place him, I think he used to hang with some of the Div/Theology crowd from Vandy. Might need to call the Rev. and see if it's the guy I think it is.

I got a response from him today from the email i sent him here it is

Thanks for your correspondence. I realize that my view

is a minority view in Tennessee, but I stand for what I

stand for, just like you stand for what you stand for. I am

not proposing taking away your gun, but I do feel strongly

that there should be more comprehensive background

checks before a person can purchase a gun.

For instance, with the case in Knoxville, the man who

killed the people in the church already had an order of

protection out on him for threatening to kill his wife.

Clearly this person was a real threat to the community.

Of course he could have obtained a gun illegally and

there is nothing to do about a situation like that, but

in this case, a background check could have revealed

this and perhaps someone such as this person might

have been prevented from owning a gun.

In any event, thanks for your correspondence. I

understand that you and I do not see eye to eye on

this issue, but that is what is good about a democracy,

it allows for people to express many points of view.

Thanks again for writing.

Is that the right half of the picture? :hyper:

I seriously doubt we need to worry about this fruit being elected.

I firmly believe if he saw someone fire a weapon he would piss himself.

When he speaks it sounds like steam escaping.

Don't you even insinuate he's gay, he'll scratch your eyes out.

I hope this makes sense. I have no problem with gay people, none whatsoever.

But fag's are different. This guy is a fruity pants and scheves me out. Why do people like this guy sound like they do when they speak?

Sometimes stereotypes are true.

This man is an idiot and his opinion piece proves it.
Now I know what a douchebag looks like.
I just want to know how he can blame guns for all the murders in the US. Last I checked, bats, knives, pipes, bombs, etc were used to murder more folks than guns.

*sigh*

this guy lives in a different world than most of us. I guess he thinks this is his way into politics. when he gets his butt spanked in the elections, I'm pretty sure he'll get the idea that his views are NOT wanted.

I won't vote for him..that's for sure!

as for the others...the people who were commenting about everything from the "evil" regime of bush and his folks to the freedom of broadcasting act that nancy pelosi wants to push on us...

all I can say is that if they don't like it..vote..and when it doesn't go their way...do like richard pryor...have a coke and a smile and stfu!
