RCBS Little Dandy powder measure opinions

Does anyone here have the Little Dandy powder measure, if so what are your thoughts on how it functions in regards to ease of changing rotors and accuracy of the thrown charges?

I have the Uniflow measure and it does the job, but is a hassle to change between my 9mm and 40cal loads (0.8 grain difference can take several minutes to correctly dial in).

I am considering the Little Dandy measure and the needed rotors for my 2 pistol loads, and using the Uniflow measure strictly for loading .223. I hand measure my 30-06 loads with a measuring spoon stolen from the kitchen as I want consistent accuracy for hunting.

I appreciate any thoughts on this measure or any similar models/options to easily dial in small charges. Price is a concern, otherwise I would purchase an electronic powder measure.

I used one about 20 years ago while living in New Mexico and was reloading 44 mag at the time with a RCBS Jr.  As I remember it worked fine and I used it for a couple of years.  I would check it with the scales and it was always dialed in, but I don't remember the load or the rotor I used.

I have one i use for pistol on my RCBS turret press. I use Unique powder if it matters. It works pretty good for this but I think it would be more accurate mounting it to a bench.

The rotors are easy to change but suck to buy at $12 + shipping each the last time I looked.

I keep my eye out for used ones on all sites that I frequent & now have a decent collection.

Thanks for the replies. I have the RCBS turret as well so may consider buying the bench mount. I have been watching eBay and other sites, the rotors aren't exactly cheap but I only need a couple of them. I think it will be worth the investment to help save me time and the hassle of trying to dial in the Uniflow.

I think that the Uniflow would be greatly helped by a micrometer charge adjustment. I leaded 9 and 45 with mine and it was HORRIBLE with Unique! I switched to Titegroup to find something cleaner and my adjustment problems went away!

Hmm, I have heard about the micrometer charfe adjustments but haven't really looked into it. Will check into it now. Thanks!

But understand, the problem is with the powder. Unique calls itself a ball powder but it sure looks like a flake to me, As I said, once I switched it was much easier and more easy to get cnsistent results when I ade changes. The micrometer may be just as frustrating with the wrong powder.

I am primarily using Titegroup, it meters well just aggravating to try and adjust between the two charges. The micrometer adjustment is about $41 plus shipping and the Little Dandy is $36 plus $12 for each rotor (so am looking at $80 or so). Decisions.... I will order one or the other when payday hits next.

For some reason I thought you said you were using Unique. Sorry. Well then, I would think the micrometer would take care of it. I had been planning on getting one myself but I ended up switching to a Hornady progressive.

The little dandy is a great measuring system and I have been using it for years. I load my .223 rifle loads with 2 throws of a good flowing powder like 748 and the weight is accurate to .1g. I have calibrated my rotors for various powders over the years and that data is kept in my reloading log. I have accumulated 5 of them over the years from buys on eBay along with most of the rotors.
