I don't see why it would be a bad thing. The make up of the court should not change before this case is heard, and we know where the current Justices stand on this issue. I say bring it on.

I don't see this making it to SCOTUS. Even if DC appealed the circuit decision, SCOTUS would quite likely deny cert IMO.

If you read the description on the ruling they agree on resasonable restrictions for self defense in the home, and that registration may be reasonable...I am not sure that we would have the same majority ruling in favor of carry, no waiting period and the other stuff...the individual right decision was close...when you talk restrictions, whats reasonable, ect...it could get ugly...IMO

hopefully like the others stated, it wont get that far.

I hope the judges see this as a big "FU" from the mayor and the police chief and hold them in contempt, make it very clear that they back off and fine them.
