We are getting a nice heavy Fay induced rain band, coming from the Northeast moving to the southwest, which is always weird. Even thunder and some lightening. We are even under a flash flood warning. But I am working, actually going over building floor plan determining square footage...No cigars or beer.

Just got thru mowing yard (dang yellow jackets) and still dusty. I can hear a little thunder in distance and radar looks like its coming my way. Suppose to get a frog strangler tonight. Me and the little lady will probably sit on front porch and watch it rain and have a little sip. Good to be alive.--MP

We are getting hammered. The back parking lot where I park and I can see from my office window is a the lowest part of this street, the water usually pools at the curb and where I park, when it rains heavy, it usually backs up because it can't drain as fast, well today it is over the curbs and is deeper than I have ever seen it. It looks as if the water level would be well over my ankle. Just looked at the radar, it looks as if we are at the beginning of a line that curves up to Jackson, TN then on to Nashville and around. So we should be in the rain a good while.

No thunderstorms yet, but it looks good for them. Lots of rain, with a few good gusts to this point. Enough mood for a cigar and mixed drink so far. With a few more drinks, I can do without the rain. :2cents:

I sat down at Skips today watching it rain for eeevverr...

The best part was when a squad of girls came running down the sidewalk in the rain wearing sports bras, and booty shorts! There must have been 25 or 30 ofem :D

And to think I left my camera in my front pass floorboard.

I felt like one of those goobers or what ever you called them for hanging out at the gun shop :D

:dirty: What college were they from?

And to think I left my camera in my front pass floorboard.

What you've done there is a disservice to the entire board and you shouldn't be allowed to post until you can redeem yourself :-\

One of the reasons I bought my house back in Memphis was because it had a full front porch and I sit and swing and watch the storms roll in. My house in Linden has a much bigger porch and the light show is much purdier out here! :D

We finally ended up with .94" of rain yesterday, by my gauge. But no thunder. We are having a few very light showers here now. Guess I'll have to settle for it.

Time for a quick cigar.

I started to begin a topic on cigars, bit since I'll be scarce around here, after tomorrow, for some stuff, I thought I'd re-start this topic.

No thunderstorm today, but we did have some showers last night. 0.22 inches.

Anyway, I've been enjoying the porch and some cigars. Re-discovered my father's old Spanish cigar case in the curio case. It is now back in action. It will hold four Panatellas very nicely.

Temps are now back where they should be, in the mid 70s. Might be a few showers this evening.

I've gotten back into cigars a little. Knew all about them in the 70s. Dutch Masters used to have a real candela wrapper in some of their cigars. Looks like all of them are tobacco paper today. That's not horrible but it doesn't add anything to the cigar. Looks like you have to go to Garcia y Vega for a cheap....err....reasonably priced real wrapper cigar today. Tobacco paper may be better....

Any way, I'm enjoying my cigar on the cool porch this evening with a nice rum and coke. I highly suggest the combination. Rum and cigars just go together.
