Just received my new mag release for the G19. I got it at topglock.com and it was about $38 ship and all. It is from T.H.E. and the part # is 42275-34. I LOVE IT!!! I installed it as soon as it got here and it is sweet. If any of you guys have to rotate the glock in your hand slightly to get the mag to release, this is for you. Now that it works so well on my 19, I am ordering one for my 26. Highly recommend this product. Great addition for that IDPA style quick mag change!

I'm glad you like it. I'm happy for you.

Hate to rain on your parade, but that sounds really high in cost (why should 5 cents of plastic cost that much?) and I had one for my G23 that I hated because it was in the way.

Might I suggest the convenient ambidextrous safety on the H&K USP, or about any other other H&K that was designed properly by the factory and so doesn't need replacement?

Yes, I know I'm being a prick, but I can't help myself in the face of Glock Perfection. :tough:

I agree Mars. Most of the aftermarket glock parts REALLY should be on a the stock glock. Probably how they keep costs down.

Plastic guide rods? Seriously Gaston.

Yeowch... $38 is steep. My Vickers release was about $19 with shipping and even that can be called "high" unless you factor in the cost of offsetting the design, engineering and production cost of something that probably is only being run in the thousands of pieces rather than tens or hundreds of thousands.

Anyway, glad you got your gun set up the way you like it!

Shoot safe!

Yeah, yeah, yeah...

We all know how you feel about Glocks. But the factory release is perfect for people with longer fingers, and lefties. In fact, I've removed the extended release from my IDPA G34. Keeps us lefties from carpet-bombing the range with magazines if you shift your grip to drop the slide with your trigger finger. :D

And as a former HK owner (USP 45c was daily carry for 2 years)... The Glock is a much better gun for gaming. *stirring the pot* :P

Oh, and to the original poster, the JP release may not be SSP legal.

Hey Tungsten, what does the Vickers release look like? Actually the release I have does have the plastic lever but the thumb pad is aluminum with set screws. I had some of my buddies check it out today and they had mixed feelings. Of course the lefties hated it as it was in the way. The righties liked it because like others have said, unless you have hands like Shaq, you have to readjust the weapon in hand to get the release to function. Yeah $38 is alot but I like it and I can release the mag without any readjust. I guess this weekend i will get the results on legal or not as we have a shoot scheduled. If not, 2 mins and the original release is back in place. Thanks for the input.
