TFA has contest to win AR-15

It seems this contest has made national news.  Funny thing is, I am a paid member of TFA and I never heard a word about this contest.  One story said that the contest was primarily focused on "middle Tennessee residents".  So I guess us east Tennessee folks don't deserve a chance at a rifle?  Not sure why this irritates me, but it does.

It was given away today or at least the winners name has been drawn and announced! I got an email about it a few hours ago and it wasn't me!

If you are a member how did you miss it? Are you signed up for John's alerts? What about the TFA Facebook page? https://www.facebook.com/groups/TennesseeFirearms/

http://www.tfaonline.org/ ? Local meetings? There are so many ways to keep up with what's going on in the TFA. I don't understand how a member could have missed it.

I presume I am on their email list and I am on their FB page.  I didn't know about any local meetings.  I paid, got something in the mail, made a few posts on the FB page that got me shouted at by the more conspiracy-minded folks, and that's pretty much all I've heard from them.

If you check the Facebook page it would have been hard to miss the give away.  Even got a notice in the Tennessean, was posted on the Web site, and copied to every e-mail list we have through local Chapters.

Will be more coming up.

Through my deal with TGO David, I do not post such things on TGO.  But, if you want to keep up with TFA, it is not hard to do.

I've not avoided TFA.  No emails, no communications via mail, nothing has shown up on my FB news feed.  Nothing for me to lose sleep over, but when I saw the comment in one news story by a TFA representative that the giveaway was targeted to middle Tennessee, that kind of bugged me.

I have not been made aware that it "targeted Middle TN". It was made available to all the contacts of the organization in TN State-wide.
